Visit: Ljubljana, Slovenia

Ljubljana is the perfect destination for a long weekend. I have been twice – once when I was hitchhiking and a second time in 2017 with a group of friends. It’s green, inexpensive, small and friendly. We stayed in a really lovely Airbnb but there are also nice, inexpensive hostels available. We flew from Luton airport & got a taxi  (about 25 min) from the airport which was inexpensive. You can also get the 28 bus

  1. Go on a day trip to Lake Bled

Hire a boat and go to the island, have a swim or walk round. This is paradise! You can get a coach there from the coach station but best to go half an hour earlier than the allotted time as they get quite busy.

Not far from the market, but it is quite steep! Well worth it for the views.
